5.0 out of 5 stars. Belluno belluno belluno!Reviewed by Patrick from Kansas City on Thursday, May 9, 2019I love these boots so much. I can't quit talking about them. My wife is sick of hearing about them. I told all my close friends and family about them. Weird? Yeah even for me...but i can't quit. I also own the Alico Summits, which I love in a different way. The Summits I wear on long hikes. My Belluno's I wear everywhere, including hikes. They are perfect for my work. I'm a Finish Carpenter that wants to dress nice and be comfy at work but suited for the elements. A very sturdy well made light weight boot. Sexy too. Yada yada yada I could go on. I've never liked a boot so much. Sad to see the are going on clearance. What does this mean!?

5.0 out of 5 stars. good-looking, real Italian leatherVerified Buyer Reviewed by fbcamper from Evanston, IL on Saturday, March 16, 2019I bought another pair of Alico Italian boots from Sierra some years ago for my husband, and they finally wore out. Glad to find these. They are much lighter-weight than the others were and comfortable right out of the box. They're made with a DriLex membrane for breathability-- but they weren't sold as waterproof, so my husband did what hallways does with leather boots: treated them with a special saddle wax. They took the wax beautifully, just getting uniformly a little darker.
He loves loves loves these boots; we hope they too last a long time. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Alico boots AS DESCRIBEDReviewed by JM from PA on Thursday, February 7, 2019I really like Alico boots. I've had several pair, and these are no exception.
As for some of the reviews, I am puzzled. The description clearly states, black waxed split leather, which is high quality Perwanger leather, but by it's very nature won't be smooth.
The description doesn't state vibram soles, so I don't know why you would say Alico's quality is diminishing when these clearly don't state that they have vibram soles. Some of the more expensive models have them, just not these less expensive ones. The welt is well stitched with no missed holes and the soles while not vibram are of good quality.
My point is don't complain about things that were either clearly stated or absolutely weren't stated in the specs or the description. Again, a very nice pair of casual hiking/urban jungle boots. -
2.0 out of 5 stars. OK But Not As AdvertisedReviewed by Buddur from W PA on Sunday, January 20, 2019I bought black-color pair last year. The outer surface of my leather is so rough I can't believe they sold it that way.....isn't the leather of boots supposed to be smooth??? I should post a pic as you won't believe the roughness of the leather, it's like they accidentally put the smooth side in and the rough side out. And the black leather is very thin. The soles weren't Vibram, and the inside lining is synthetic and not leather as stated. The fit is wierd as the laces tighten at the next to last set of lace hooks, not at the top, making the top of the boot loose no matter how tight the laces are. I like the boots, just LIKE them. Soles are rather soft, and I anticipate them wearing out long before anything above does.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Very Nice BootVerified Buyer Reviewed by JeffreyB from Buffalo, NY on Saturday, January 19, 2019I am very happy with my purchase of these boots. The fit is perfect (9 1/2) and they are very comfortable for walking in, not stiff at all. I also like the look of these boots. I wanted a hiking boot that was warm with a nice appearance. These fit the bill. The overall quality is excellent. Very satisfied with my purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Happy So FarVerified Buyer Reviewed by Chemin de Fer from Baltimore, Maryland on Monday, January 14, 2019I've just started to break these in by wearing them while running errands and taking neighborhood walks. They feel great so far with heavy merino wool socks--quite flexible out of the box. Ultimately, I'm going to wear them for long day-hikes on rugged terrain. Two notes: (1) As other reviewers have noted, the lug sole is Davos, not Vibram. (2) I replaced the insoles, which seem decent enough, with higher-quality ones.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Awesome bootsReviewed by J Franky from Seattle on Thursday, November 15, 2018I really like these. I got the black with tan laces. They're really well made, obvious quality. And Italian like myself ;-). Good stuff, well worth the price, especially with a discount. After about a week wearing them they're starting to break in, getting more comfortable. They're pretty true to size, I wear an 8.5 in larger boots like Chippewa, and a 9 in regular sized boots. These are more regular sized. The 9s fit me well with just a little room. I use Arch support insoles and with those in they fit perfectly with medium weight boot socks. I used a little sno-seal on the sole stitching as that was recommended by someone, but left the leather alone as it's already treated and I don't want to take away the breathability. The laces come undone a little easier than I like, but they seem to be good quality. After a little wear they may hold better as the coefficient of static friction will rise as the surface roughness does (given certain assumptions, best guess). Just get them, you won't be disappointed.
