light hikers, roomy toe box

You can think of these as a sturdy walking shoe with ankle support you can use for daily wear. The smooth leather versions look just dressy enough they pass well for business casual wear. I've found them to wear well all day though the Amphibio leather does prevent moisture passage more than I expected. With the overall light effect and thinner Vibram sole you might think they can't be any good for hiking but the support is real arising from sole construction that is legit hiking shoe in function. After a couple all-day wear outings at work I wouldn't hesitate to wear these hiking, even with a moderate pack, if I didn't already have other Alicos Tahoes that will tolerate trail abuse better than the smooth dressy leather of the Bellunos.
For me these will be the perfect one shoe to take for travel that will involve a lot of waking and standing where you want a good all-day walking shoe that looks normal and classy enough to wear with a range of settings and that you won't hate putting on every day.
I found fit to be a half size large. I saw this advice in the reviews, ordered a 9 instead of a 9.5 and found the fit perfect for US 9.5 feet. Even the medium width has straight enough sides that it does not narrow too soon and push the big toe over.
Leather inside and out is soft and rich, as good as any shoe leather I've seen lately and perfectly balanced: stiffer/thicker than you expect for shoes, lighter/flexor than you expect for boots. Perfect stitching, natural toe bend as they break in. Removeable insole is top quality as these things go and very comfortable. I wouldn't consider changing it.
