Years of Outward Bound & Mountaineering

I had had a pair of British boots back in the day (1960's) which were approximately as good, but these boots are TOPS! Yes, they are heavy, but that is part of a durable, foot-protecting, crampon-agreeable,snow-derisive power boot. They can go anywhere, even including winter mountains, although now most people would opt for double &/or plastic. Treat them with Snoseal or similar water repellant and they will take you for years into whatever you might choose, except perhaps marshes and swampy places, or beaches and surfing. For the mountains, these are THE ticket!
