I was hesitant buying not just shoes, but the most important footgear of all, hiking boots, over the internet. I read the reviews and these looked and sounded like just what I needed to replace a 30 year old pair of Vasque. I really wanted Limmer's but price was an object. I'm real fussy about my footwear. Well these were waiting for me when I got home last night. Took them out of the box and stared at them. They looked perfect, even as for size. Finally powdered my feet, got a good pair of hiking socks, and slid the first one on. Nirvana! May be the most comfortable out of the box shoe I have purchased since a pair of $200 Bally's 35 years ago! Not sure what all the reviews about long break in are about as the left one is perfect and the right one will be once my foot adjusts to having a reeeally good piece of footwear on it for the first time in years. I have a high arch and high instep and most shoes are a real compromise. My only complaint is that it would have been nice to get the extra $50 off sale price that went into effect during the five days between ordering and receiving.
