If you liked the old Sundowners, you'll like these

I've had the classic Italian Sundowners for years and loved them. But my feet got just a little bigger over the years and I was getting some jamming of toes on downhills. Looked at lots of different boots and read lots of reviews. Decided to give these a try. I bought a 1/2 size up from my old Sundowners and these fit perfectly. So you could say the sizing was very close to classic Sundowners. They are very stiff when they come out of the box. A couple of days wearing them around the house and office, going up and down stairs got them broken in enough for a short 5 mile hike. Slathered them up with Sno-Seal and hit the trail. Stood in the creek to check on waterproofness and they passed remarkably. Weight seems very close to the old Sundowners as well. IMO, you just can't beat Italian leather and Norwegian welts.
