Well, there is no doubt about these...

Just got my order delivered today. Had them on my feet for 15 minutes and I am ecstatic about these boots.Alot of what I am about to say has been said already. Treat it as cannon fodder for the praise of these boots. I did alot of research on these boots before I committed to them. I am a professional forester in B.C. Canada, and I have never "cheaped out" on footwear. I have owned/currently own all sorts of boots. Caulks, winters, light hikers, etc. My last pair of spring/summer boots (La Sportiva - 7 years of service) gave up the ghost last fall and I needed a replacement. These Alico's are the real McCoy.Forget the comments about them being heavy. They are actually rather light compared to what I expected. All comments about the premium quality of these boots are gospel. Comments about the stiffness are true (should be expected in this type of boot, and will take some time to break in - that's a good thing when looking for longevity).I haven't had these boots very long (we're talking minutes here) but I am confident in my initial assessments.Take these boots seriously. Do not buy them for off-the-shelf fit and flex. They will take some effort and committment but will respond with excellence.Side note: Kudo's to Sierra Trading post on their prices. [...] I will be back. Great stuff.
