Inconsistent workmanship

Inconsistent workmanship As with any hand made merchandise the quality of the construction was inconsistent between the left and right boots. The toe cap on the left boot was sewn on at an angle different from the right. This caused the sole to flex slightly differently between the right and the left. The left boot is 2mm narrower than the right. I returned the first pair after a 5 mile snowshoe trek revealed that toe box was too small and jammed my toes on aggressive forward strides. The next size larger corrected the problem. When carrying a heavy load over uneven terrain the stability, traction, and ankle support were great. The boots were a good value at Serra Trading Post’s prices but I would not pay full retail for them. [...]Over all I would recommend this product.
