The Tahoes are a bit higher, heavier and the soles are a bit thicker and stiffer. Also, I don't believe the Tahoes have waterproof leather. The Nomads would be great for light hiking, the Tahoes are great for a little more distance and/or rougher trails. I have been very satisfied with all of the Alico boots I've purchased.
@I.M - Thanks for answering my question! More questions... I generally wear trail runners for all of my backpacking and I like how light they are, but I just want something that is long-lasting. Do you think these would fit the bill for multi-day backpacking trips?
Also, can you shed some light on sizing? What size do you wear in dress shoes/tennis shoes/work boots/brannock and what size do you wear in these?
