Astonishingly solid - some heel slippage

Couldn't have bought these if I hadn't had a monster coupon from STP. Even with 35% off, they were [$]. However, I'm glad I did buy them, since they're incredibly solid. Alico makes serious mountaineering boots, the kind that can keep you standing up straight all on their own. These have those bottoms -- stiff, strong, supportive. However, they slip on and off easily since they're Wellington style. The shearling lining is luxurious, but their sizing is off -- they don't understand American feet in Italy. (Could never buy shoes when in Italy because none were made in 12 or 13 ...) So while these are large enough in my actual size (a rarity), they have a good amount of heel slippage. But I've only worn them a few times, so the slippage could be from the need to fully break in. Will see ...In the meantime, wearing thicker socks.
