“I just received my Summit boots and was surprised at two things: (1) there are no manufacturing labels or model numbers inside the boots other than the size and but for the stamped Alico name on outside, I would doubt its authenticity (I actually still do a little bit to be honest); (2) the insole is a a grey fiberous unpadded thin mesh material which doesnt exactly feel comfortable at this point. I'm just getting into hiking, so maybe this type of insole is normal. I was expecting a nice leather padded insole. Are these normal or did I get a defective pair?”
These are authentic boots. This is how Alico marks their brand, as every manufacturer does it differently. Most shoes and boots in general have just a standard insole. If you wish for a more substantial one there are many out there you can purchase to meet your needs and support.
