Old School Quality

These are great value, hard-to-find old school backpacking boots. The feature that attracted me most is the stitch-down sole which can be cheaply repaired by most village shops, unlike many bonded soles- a great advantage if you depend on these for daily wear. Also hard to find a leather lined boot anymore at this price. To me the toe box feels a bit wide- much more so than my old Lowa Scouts, but my feet are on the narrow side. Installing a pair of gel insoles took care of the fit though, and the length is dead on. I haven't used them much yet, but they appear to be a very durable boot, and I can't beat the price.
