I feel lucky to have gotten a pair

I wear a 10.5 EEEE in New Balance sneakers, and I have flat overpronated feet and narrow ankles. I didn't know if there was a one piece leather boot that would fit me. The 11EE Alico summit does. Spenco semi rigid full length orthotics complete the package.

The boot is handsome and built like a tank, but it is beginning to break in on day 3.

I am looking forward to long treks in foriegn lands where fit and dependability will count so these will work for me.

It is a relief not to have to pay and wait for a custom boot. It is good to finally own some fine European hiking boots before they disappear.

Sadly, all of the so called advances in boots have not improved on the old school product.
