I first a pair of these boots several years ago, because of their traditional look and feel. I used them for backpacking in the Berkshires, Greens and Adirondacks, keeping them reserved for just that purpose. When my current workboots wore out, I ordered andother pair of these Alicos, and started using the first pair as workboots. The leather lining is cooler and dries quicker than fabric or synthetic lining, which prevents leather rot.[...]These are my favorite all-around footwear.
