Not a hiking boot

Immediately sent these boots back. Ordered thinking they were traditional "Vasque" type boots from the 1970's. They are NOT. There is NO breakin time with the Summit's and that is what is troubling. A good hiking boot should have a break in time. The leather is tooooo soft. Though they have the looks and the Vibram deep sole lugs these boots are for everyday use to the local store, office, or doing outdoor work. Plus the heel pocket was too big allowing my heels to move around. Extremely difficult to lace since the locking grommet did not lock the lace. Don't judge these as hiking boots because they look like them. I thought I had found a very good pair of boots because of the pictures but as soon as I put these on and walked in them I knew they were not. My foot did not "lock" in and I did not feel the sturdiness and stability a foot should feel in an all leather traditional hiking boot. These boots are NOT HIKING BOOTS. Don't let my nickname confuse you. I have been backpacking and hiking since the 1970's and have worn the best except for Limmers.
