Just what I was looking for

My old Vasque Sundowners are nearing the end of their life cycle---just threw out my 13 year old pair because the leather finally cracked---my 11 year old pair looks bad but there's still a lot of life in them----if they were still made in Italy, I would have just bought another pair and not looked back--sadly the Chinese garbage Sundowners aren't worth the time or money. I bought a couple pairs of Red Wings ---nice boots but they still don't fill the void left by my Sundowners.

On to the Alico's---sizing seems spot on compared to the Vasque's----size 9 in both---they'll need some break-in time while the Sundowners needed none----no one seems to know what old school boots were really like---these are neither stiff or heavy---they are well made though---if what I've read about the Tahoe's is correct, I wouldn't even bother---the Summits are where you need to start.

I'll be buying another pair to keep in reserve--you won't find quality like this at these prices for much longer.
