as tough as they look

I worked in the outdoors for 26 yrs, so used up a bunch of different boots. The White brand everyone else wore were tough but I could never break mine in. So when I did not need the Whites, I purchased the Alico. I tried a serious hike in the Sawtooth Mtns of Idaho when they were new, big mistake. I put them away and used my Vasque (that were made in Italy). The vasque finally gave out so I started to wear the Alico again. After a short time I learned to use the correct insert and the correct socks. Now I am trying to bust them in the Desert rocks of Az. The Alico is the Best boot for me, and the best I have owned -- both for the sharp desert Rocks and the Idaho Wilderness. I am a firm believer of you get what you pay for.
