I bought one pair, then another three.

These are mid-weight full leather hiking boots that are appropriate for all but the most heavy-duty backpacking. It took about two weeks of dayhikes to get the initial breaking in done. After backpacking for six weeks, they now fit like a glove. I carry packs in the 40-60 lb. range and think that the Alico's work well. They are not stiff enough for crampons, but are light enough to track on slickrock. The best thing about them, which may interest some, is that since they are all leather without the zillions of seams modern-day boots seem to have, they are perfect for those who need to stretch the leather to take care of various foot abnormalities!! Noting that they were a close-out, I bought another three pair!! I like these boots!!
