Nice boots

I live in the mountains of Southwest New Mexico, and the terrain around here is extremely rugged. I had been wearing a more "modern" style of boot. But, I got sick of throwing them away every year or so as the soles wore out. I got the Alicos primarily because of their reputation for durability and because they can be resoled.

I've been wearing the Alicos for a couple of weeks now and I like them a whole bunch. They provide good support and seem very well put together. I haven't done any packing with them yet, but they feel like they'd hold up even under heavy loads. Once broken in, they are very comfortable. The only down side is that they come with a cheap insole. In my case, the insoles were incorrectly put together, causing a lump under my foot. Once I replaced the insoles, they were great!
