Classic boots, break them in

I use these for day hiking doing 8-12 miles with a 10-15 pound backpack. They are very well made and I like the fact that they don't have Gore-Tex. I've had terrible luck with boots lately, but these seem like keepers. For the full leather version, make sure you break them in *very* well before taking them on a major trip. I did not and developed heal blisters on a trip to Switzerland. Also, the stock insoles are terrible--no cushion or arch support--so plan on replacing them.
  • Best Uses: Day Hiking, Light Loads
  • Cons: No cusion in insoles, Not Water Resistant, Too Stiff/Not Flexible
  • Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Casual/Recreational
  • Pros: Ankle Support, Great Traction
  • Sizing: Feels true to size
