Remember the old Italian made Vasque boots? Here they are...

I was a big fan of the Vasque Sundowner boots, when they were made in Italy (now made in China). About 20 years ago, Vasque made a version of the Sundowner that had Norwegian welt soles. It was a great boot, and easy to resole. These Alico's are very similar. They might actually be a bit lighter than the Sundowner 2. In any case, they are a great boot. You'll want to change out the insole for something with a little arch support. As to sizing, they fit a wee bit large. I fit between a 9.5 and 10, and the 9.5 is perfect with some nice width in the toe. Budget for welt guard and good conditioners.
