Tahoes are great for Tahoe

I live at Tahoe and I've had a pair of these boots for 7 years. I'm on my second set of soles (My shoe guy was thrilled to see a pair of old school boots that weren't Chinese garbage). They've been worn everywhere from the Desolation Wilderness to the street in Chicago and I can't remember having a boot I'd rather be wearing. I've tried adding other boots to my set just so I wouldn't wear them out, but I haven't found anything I'll accept any more. I'm going to try a pair of Summits next, and I only hope they work out as well as these have. They aren't technically waterproof, but they're pretty close outside of full submersion, and an annual double-coat of Camp Dry handles that. They may start out stiff, but mine are now flexible and supple.
