Verified Buyer Reviewed by RvMe from Florida on Friday, December 30, 2016Took these out camping and they held up very well under the weight of 2 "heavyweights" that are 6'3" and 6'6" tall. I was asked were I got them and they couldn't believe the deal I got them for!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mike Delta - Military Gear Expert! from Las Vegas on Saturday, December 17, 2016I was very impressed with this camp chair. It is very well built and IMO is much better than some large outdoor store brands that I have sat in. It is a little heavy but is well built...I think this chair will last for years instead of a season or two...
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Dave from APO, AE on Tuesday, December 13, 2016The chair seems to be pretty well made. I'm 6'2" 275 lb's and the chair seems to be very sturdy and comfortable. I use the chair almost daily so it will be interesting to see how it holds up a month for 2 from now. I really don't see any potential problems. The fabric is seems to be good quality and some cushioning thickness to it. The bag that carries it is also very well made, probably the best carry bag I have seen for a chair. It is a little heavy a camping chair, but you got the quality construction so I'm not complaining
Verified Buyer Reviewed by tawkboyd from Idaho on Wednesday, November 16, 2016A reputable brand, better constructed than many lower-end camping chairs. Cheaper grade chairs usually fall apart pretty quickly or tend to become somewhat rickety with use. This model is heavy duty, seems to be pretty durable. Our son is 6' 4" and needed a chair that would hold him and a child while keeping peace of mind about collapse. Most lower-end chairs have weigh limits around 178 pounds. We didn't need the 500 pound weight limit, but heavy duty looks pretty safe to us. It weighs about 10.5 pounds. I wouldn't want to try to pack this chair, however it would be great for camping.

“Some reviews recommend this chair for a tall person. I am 300 lb., but only 5'6", portly build. Would this chair work for me? ”
I think it should. I am 6'2", 275 lb. I use it several times a week and it has held up really well. It is comfortable and one of the best chairs I have owned especially for the price!

In my opinion, this chair would meet your needs. It has a very ridged reinforcement system and really handle the weight. I am 6' 3" and 240 and it still feels like I have some room and I don’t have that fear of the chair collapsing like other inexpensive brands. Furthermore, this is bar far a better chair than anything I have seen at REI or other competitors. Like most things that come through Sierra, these chairs are incredibly strong and stout. You are truly buying quality with the Alpine Mountain Gear Brand…I highly recommend picking one up.
Best of luck to you Dave!
