I bought two of these for a March camp-out in Nebraska and the wind was howling with single digit wind chill, yet the bags were warm. Length should be adequate to about 6'4" by my estimate. However, be aware that the girth of this bag is a bit snug. I wear a 44 inch jacket and can barely cross my ... Read More

Great bag. Took it out the day I got it and kept me very comfortable down to -10. Bet big and roomy. Definitely not a backpacking bag, but great for car camping.

This is a big, bulky, warm bag! I've only used it out on my screened porch hammock, but it kept me toasty. You would not want to pack this thing for a long hike, compressed it is still the size of a 5 gallon bucket. But, it is ideal for a hunting camp, emergency car kit, or a man who has a wife who is always "freezing" if outside and its below 50 degrees.

I've tested the -20f bag for several nights. Being from Seattle, it doesn't get too cold here, but I slept out last week in 25f degree weather. The bag was too warm wearing my silk-weight polypro. I had to open the hood to get enough ventilation because of the warmth (a good thing). The bag is semi-water repellent. I'm a big guy who has lost weight recently. At 5'11" and 285lbs, I barely fit in the bag, but now at 265lbs or so, I have plenty of room. For the price, this is a great bag. I have several sleeping bags, including 3 Military Modular Sleep Systems, and Echo Lake -20f is among the best. Definitely not for hiking, but military members hike with the MMSS all the time and it's even heavier.

I'm going to agree with everyone and say this bag is huge. When it's packed it's the size of a 5 gallon bucket. But for car camping or base camp in the bitter cold this is the bag. I used it in the teens and low twenties and was hot. The fit was perfect for me I'm 6'2" and 230. Overall the construction and materials are top notch. I rated it a 4 because I think it needs a draft collar. And the zipper is a little sticky when it gets towards the top.
