This was a recent purchase, so it has only seen a few miles on a test-fit hike. I've been pleased with all my ALPS Mountaineering stuff, this pack is no exception. This pack is a great value for a starting overnight trips. Would like to have a "real" water bottle pocket, but I can't complain for the price! It holds my stuff and is adjustable.

This was a recent purchase, so it has only seen a few miles on a test-fit hike. I've been pleased with all my ALPS Mountaineering stuff, this pack is no exception. It is replacing an older Eagle Creek pack that was a bit too large for me--this thing fits SO much better! I'm 5;10" ~180lbs.. plenty of adjustment to accommodate a range of users.

I'm not typically a fan of top-load only packs, but the addition of the large side pockets on this bag are great. Lets me compartmentalize my gear a bit better, an appreciated feature--wish more packs did this. Not exceptionally light, but I'd say pretty average, and holds gear well. Loaded to 36lbs and did a quick few miles. No complaints. This pack has me pumped to hit the trails this summer!

  • “What size water reservoir fits in this pack?”
Asked by Philmont bound from NC on 4/2/2017 7:06:16 PM
    • The largest they make will fit--if they made a 50L reservoir it would fit, as the drinking tube feeds directly into the main compartment of the pack. There is a sleeve with elastic at the anterior of the main compartment (see photo), and I'd guess at least 5L bladder would fit there, though would be an odd place to put it in a fully loaded pack. You do have access to the main compartment without having to dig down from the top--see zipper on right posterior of pack.

Been pleased with this one so far. Good buy.
