Bought this for weekend Boy Scout hikes in North Georgia. Bag has a huge amount of storage space for the weight of the pack. It will probably hold more gear than I will want to carry. I am sure of that. I like having the large external pockets to allow me to not have to dig through my bag for a coat or rain gear etc. I have a little larger sleeping bag than most and it easily fit into the bottom compartment. I am 5' 10" and 240 lbs, pack adjusts to fit my Irish torso well.
