Most Helpful 5-Star Review
The perfect day packVerified Buyer Reviewed by Spencer from Oklahoma on Tuesday, October 2, 2018This pack met and exceeded my expectations! It's super durable and rugged. Very comfortable! I love that you can remove the hip straps, they are easily removed via the Velcro strap. Plenty of pockets to put enough snacks and things for me and my 4 kids for a day at the zoo or a day on the trails. The Water bladder is heavy duty and keeps me hydrated. I wish the two bottle pockets on the sides were mesh and able to hold larger size bottles but this is just my preference since I use big bottles. Any Normal size bottle would fit perfectly. I love this pack!
Excellent Hydration BackpackVerified Buyer Reviewed by John G. from Colorado on Wednesday, May 2, 2018I have enjoyed taking this hiking and mountain biking. Lots of room and feels comfortable on my back. I’d recommend doing at least one flush of water through the drinking tube or else you may taste some manufacturing residue. Also, I only gave 4 stars because the description says there is a separate compartment for your helmet which is actually far too small to fit a helmet, which was a disappointment.
5 Stars for the money hereReviewed by Power Walker from Vegas and Mexico on Friday, April 27, 2018I'm used to a Camelbak Mule and this one ranks right up there with it but I paid about half the amount for it. Really nice colors dark grey, black, and reddish orange trim. 3L bladder is nice but I prefer the Camelbak Crux bladder over this one. The Alps Mountaineering pack, however, offers a great deal more carrying options than the Mule. It has the same stretch pouch pocket in the front that connects with the compression straps on each side so you can cinch down whatever you put in there. Its also got nice water bottle holders on each side and a perfect vertical pocket in the front that is lined for sunglasses. Behind that is a nice organizational pocket that holds a tablet and has nice slots for a wallet, iPhone 8 and keys, too. Very well done actually. Its not over the top or overkill and its not insufficient either. Being that is the main pouch and my MacBook 13 fits in the same slot that the bladder goes in. You can't do them both together in fear of any water spilling but if you don't use the bladder, this pack holds a 13" Mac beautifully there. A 15" would probably fit in the main compartment, too, but not in the slot where the bladder or a 13" can slide in. Finally, there is another zippered pocket on the bottom and it comes with a rain fly there. It detaches if you don't need it and you have another little pocket that way. Very cool. The waist strap also detaches easily with velcro and the padding on the back is quite nice. The straps are fairly light and breathable, too (a good thing) but I don't see using this pack with more than 15-20 pounds of gear for any extended period of time. It makes an outstanding carry-on bag that fits under the seat in front of you (just barely but it fits) and its a great pack for a 1 to 4 day trip if you are a good and fairly light packer. I wear light and pretty thin clothes so 4 days or even a little more works for me. You can also tuck a jacket or even another pair of shoes (in a shoe bag) in the pouch in front, too. A+ all the way here.
EXCELLENT Hydration Pack!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Esky from Colorado on Monday, April 9, 2018I just took this pack on a mountain bike ride and it performed flawlessly! The pack is extremely comfortable with loads of adjustment options, straps, pockets, pouches, and more. It's a huge improvement over my last pack and I love that the drinking tube is insulated. Very happy with this purchase!
