I read all the very good and very bad reviews. I bought the cot because it seemed the very good reviews were accurate, if you had the strength to put it together. It takes a good pull on the fabric to get the the end of lengthwise rods into fabric pocket. But the fabric does have the give to stretch and enable the user to get that rod end into the pocket. This was the hardest. The legs are nice sturdy metal and have a spring-loaded effect. One end drops into the hole on one side and the user has to compress the leg to get the other end to drop into the hole on the other side. It takes a good push, but not horrible. The cot is totally stable, comfortable and sturdy. It is large in both width and length and can easily handle a adult. (About 6 ft long). The end product is a great comfortable quality cot that will last for a long time. I am a 64 year old female. I was able to put it together by myself, so most will probably have the strength to do the same.
