This is just what I wanted. comfortable shoulder and hips straps. Lots of straps to tie meat packages down. Will carry as much weight as I could personally haul out. The price was great also.

I din't want to leave a review until I had field tested the product. When I first received this pack it was larger than I had anticipated. Made some adjustments for fit and then waited all of September to use it on an elk archery hunt. I never got an elk on the ground so I had to wait for deer rifle season. I was able to harvest a mule deer in November in the mountains of Colorado. Initially I was thinking it would be two trips because in the past I have always had to do two trips. With this pack I was able to get all four quarters, the back straps and tenderloins, knife, saw, and other tools, as well as the antlers all in one trip. This pack was able to handle the weight. The hike out was super tough with over a mile of steep incline out of a valley. I loved that I could reach back and grab the bottom of the frame with my hands and at times help support the weight with my arms just to give a break to my neck and shoulders. This pack worked out great. I do wish their was a little more storage in the side pockets but I was able to make it all work.

I did however go on a hunt in OK where I met the product designer for Alps Mountaineering. He happened to have the pack that they plan to release in 2015 with him and I will say that one is amazing. As much as I loved their new design I don't think anything can touch the value of this Renegade pack on Sierra. Thanks Sierra-

Pictures do not do justice, pack frame is built good and strong, extra pockets helps out a lot, highly recommended,
