Built for Comfort not for Speed

This is the first time I have purchased Alps. I am a former Mt. Climber turned family man. So this sleeping pad is for my wife and car camping with our little children. It's big, super comfortable it doesn't slip. It self-inflates nicely. I tested it against my thermarest. It's larger and more comfortable but it's fairly big and bulky in terms of packing. It's definitely built for comfort not for speed...I wouldn't take it backpacking.
