Defect... not sure if true for all??

The outer lining of this sleeping pad separated from the rest of the material on the first use on our camping trip to the Canadian Rockies. My 16 year old son had to sleep on it like some sort of ballooned up odd shaped structure. Not very comfortable for him... but he dealt with it for the 6 nights of camping. I will be sending it back. Broken and defective. (An aside, I purchased 2 of these and the weird separation only happened on one of them).
