Ara Greta Boots

These seem more like a casual wear boot than a true "snow" boot to me, since they can be worn almost like a high top sneaker and are comfortable without being overly warm indoors, but they are quite waterproof and I have had them out in the snow, where the traction was fine. I also find that they look lighter in person than online, and definitely more towards tan than taupe. For some reason, and you can't see this in the photos, they put bright red tips on the laces, which I just don't get, as they match nothing else. I will probably replace the laces for this reason, but it is not a deal breaker. I do agree with other reviewers that the boot tends to cut a bit into the ankle at the top. I have loosened the laces and am willing to work with breaking them in a bit as they are pretty comfortable otherwise. The left boot has a bit of a bulge inside where all the stitching comes together for different layers and this feels like there is a seam in my sock by my little toe. So far, no blisters, but I wish the two boots were the same. This seems to be an issue with shoes featuring toe caps. I am hoping to resolve this more as I have decided to keep the boots. I have other great ara boots that I absolutely LOVE but are quite winter specific, so I am hoping to be able to use these for more of the year.
