Clown Shoes for Bigfoot

Reviewed by Hiking Harry from Pittsburgh on Thursday, September 19, 2013
I am an active man, approaching 60, who runs and walks daily and works a retail job where I stand on my feet 9 to 10 hours a day. I have big flat size 14 feet and am hard on shoes. I've tried them all and these Asics Gel Nimbus are a fine pair of shoes. Lots of support, comfortable fit, and the laces stay tied. Now, let's face it. They do look like clown shoes. Be prepared to have everyone comment on your "crazy" looking shoes, but that can be fun. I did, as was suggested in the listing, order 1/2 size larger, and am glad I did. The fit is fine.

I used to keep running shoes until the stuffing was beat out of them, and the support was gone. Now, I find it best to rotate between pairs daily, let them air out, and replace them every year. That's why the sale prices at STP are so important. I couldn't buy multiple pairs if I were paying $100 a pair. And the STP return policy cannot be beat. Buy with confidence. If you don't love them, just send them back.

Finding shoes that work well can take a while. The top brands all have many different styles. I have been able, with STP, to try Keen, NB, Brooks, Patagonia, Asolo, and Asics and have satisfied my requirements for hiking, running, and even dress shoes. My wife laughs and says I have more shoes than Imelda Marcos.
