A perennial favorite with high-mileage runners, the ASICS GT-2000 4 running shoes continue the tradition of a smooth, cushioned ride thanks to Forefoot and Rearfoot GEL® inserts, plus FluidRide®, DuoMax® and IGS® stability technology. This update features an internal fit system that wraps the midfoot and helps prevent pronation mile after mile.

I selected these because Asics is a good brand (that I have experience with) and the price was fantastic. I have always worn a size 6M running shoe, but these were too short for me; my big toes were pushing against the edge of the toe and I knew that these would be uncomfortable to walk/run in. Since my heel is narrow, I exchanged these for a size 7N. The 7N shoes work for me very well. I am not the only customer to report that these shoes run short/tight in the toe box.

I was pointed at this brand by my orthopedist after an ankle injury years ago and have been wearing them ever since. Tried other athletic shoes...not even close to the fit and comfort of Asics. You DO have to find the fit that is right for your foot in the selection but after you do there are 4-5 models that will work.
