Sole not durable

I use my boots hard, and as an outdoor professional and avid hiker, I have a good sense of how long a boot should last. I used these boots in central Idaho in summer 2015, putting perhaps 100 miles on rugged, but not technical terrain. The soles were losing tread within the first 50 miles. Literally, the nubs of rubber forming the tread were peeling off. If you are looking to get these boots for walking in the snow, or some urban dog walking, you should be fine. If you are looking for a solid trail boot, keep looking.
On the plus side, if the boot fits you fine out of the box, there is no break-in period. Winter urban dog walkers, rejoice.
