Comfort, support, and durability!!!

These boots offer great support along with comfort and durability. I did a bit of research on which boot I should go with looking mainly at Asolo, Lowa and Kennetrek. These are all great brands and you probably would not go wrong with either one, it all comes down to the fit. After reading many reviews and personally talking with individuals, I opted to try the Asolo's. I was not disappointed These fit my foot like a glove! offering a nice snug fit in the heel and plenty of room in the toe. I have a bummed ankle and these offer plenty of support, in fact, on my first hike with these (to start the break in process) my ankle tried to give, these boots held my ankle snug and stopped it from twisting.

The inside is made of a calf skin leather, which I like, it is soft and constructed very well. The lacing system is very innovative offering 3 pulleys and a eye that locks the laces so the pulley system does not loosen while hiking. The full rand is tough and offers plenty of protection to the upper. The Vibram sole is very durable and gives you the extra traction when needed. I was worried about the sole being "slippery" in wet situations, but have instead found them to grip very well in snow and icy conditions. They came completely waterproof, but I did treat them with Nikwax (recommended) before heavy use, this allowed the water to bead up on the nubuck, my feet still have not gotten wet while wearing these.

Overall I give them a 5/5 stars. These boots are the best boots I have worn offering me the support, comfort, and durability I need. I highly recommend the Asolo Bajura to anyone who demands the best from their boot. You absolutely cannot beat the quality of this boot matched with the price from Sierra Trading Post. Looking forward to many years with these on my feet!
