Well made. Some odd observations

I'm a big Osolo fan. This model represents the most technical of the models I own. This review represents my first impression- but before much usage.
Appears well made-love the leather lining ( but white?!) The Gore-Tex lining falls between that and the exterior newbuck.
The lacing system is first rate as noted in other reviews. Note that this is an incredibly still sole. It's virtually impossible to bend
the toe area by hand. When you first walk in these, you feel an odd rocking forward feel. Don't know if this is a true "rocker" sole, but it takes some getting used to. As you place your foot down, it feels like your foot is beng catapulted forward towards your next step! I've never experienced this before-perhaps it's an indication/symptom of such a stiff platform The sole is a deep lug Vibram and curiously, it is much narrower than any other model I own- from the heal all the way up to the toe area. Doesn't seem to be and issue but I find it somewhat odd. I will add to this review after I've hiked a bit in these. The fact is, I didn't need these, but the sale price was so incredible low at STP, I couldn't refuse! Oh well, what's another pair lined up on the closet floor!
