Nice light pair of boots.

First off, I have only worn these once, but it was a 13 hour day in them. So if my feet are going to hurt it would show. I had no problems. This boot fits my feet well. With the lacing down to the toe, adjustability to fit is good, which helps with different sock thickness (I wear heavy Thorlo's). Just a little tight in width, As my foot is right between a D and E, but I'm sure the leather will conform with continued use. There is not a lot of arch support in this boot, so if you don't have strong arches, you might want to look elsewhere. I compare them to or like a minimalist running shoe of barefoot design. This is a minimalist boot. I can really feel the ground beneath. Vibram soles should be awesome as always. I had MANY pairs and styles of Asolos. This looks to me to be a winner. The FSN 85 and 95's construction and soles were worse. Time will tell, as I wear boots every day. I change to a different pair each day to let them dry out. I like the look too, as they look like my climbing shoes. So the "funkiness" is high on the scale. Guys at work want to know where I got them and could I get a pair for them (sent them a link). The girls like them too! And they are always on top of shoes. To finish, I've have Kayland's, Vasque, Asolos, Marmot's, Scarpa's, Alico (my "Old World" favorite), of all different weights. And this boot is quickly becoming my new fave.
