Good quality, Euro-US sizing wrong

Well made and comfortable after a short break-in period. As many reviewers have noted, they're not quick to put on or take off, but lacing allows a dialed-in fit, at least width-wise. My only beef is the sizing - I typically wear a 8.5 US for casual shoes and 9 US for running/hiking shoes. In the vast majority of shoe brands, a 9 US is a 42 EUR/8 ENG (granted there are some exceptions and variability based on build). The size 9 US that I received is actually labeled as a 42.5 EUR/8.5 ENG, and fits like it - about 1/4 in longer than expected for a 9 US. Had I been aware of this, I would have ordered the 8.5 US (presumably would have been a 42 EUR, but STP only lists the inaccurate US sizing), but it's a no-go for exchange as that size is now sold out. I can make them work for hiking with some thicker socks, but will not get a technical fit in the toe for scrambling and light climbing (which they're made for).

They're still quality boots, but won't fill the niche I intended them for. If you order them, I'd recommend checking the EUR sizing with STP first since it seems more accurate for this boot. Don't size up much unless you're ok with excess space at the front of the shoe, and a flexion point that is too far forward on your toes.

STP - do us a favor and list the EUR as well as US sizing (particularly with a European made boot) as it can be helpful for those of us with in-between size feet.
