Quality boot at an unbeatable price

I ordered the boots about a month ago. I previously had worn the all-leather version of the Asolo boot but wanted something a little lighter and more breathable. My first, pleasant, surprise about the boot was how little time it took to break it in. The previous boot, which lasted me 6 years (heavy backcountry use in Montana), took about 2 months to fully break in. (I did not try the water trick to accelerate the process.) These boots feel broken in after about 30 hours of use. There are no hot spots. The size of the boot runs true lengthwise, but the width is slightly narrower than normal. Not too narrow, just a little. The traction on snow with the Vibram sole is a little better than the previous boot, but still not great. I have not tried it on ice yet nor have I had any extreme cold to assess the warmth of the inside of the boot. Based upon feel though, I suspect that it will be as warm as my previous pair...which was excellent down to about -20 F with regular cotton socks on. Surprisingly, I did not think that this boot breathed any better than the other. That's not too big of a deal. I do like how light they are. They appear to be very durable. I look foward to giving them heavy use over the next couple of years. I have not tested the waterproof nature of the boot yet. Based on previous experience with the other pair, I do not think that there will be a problem.
