Nice lightweight, waterproof boots

I had a pair of Asolo FSN95s that i wore for years before they gave up the ghost, so i went with the Horizons. So far, the boots have been very comfortable with little to no break-in period (unlike the FSN95s, which were stiff for a long while). they have good ankle support while still being rather flexible. Ive worn them on a couple of 10 mile day hikes in rocky and wet conditions and they have done the job admirably. I like the boots a lot.

the only small thing i dont like about them is theyre a little more lightweight than i wanted, specifically the sole. walking over pointed rocks, you can definitely feel the rocks through the soles. its not terribly uncomfortable, but if i had to do it again, i probably would have gone with a heavier duty sole. i didnt realize that this sole was kind of lightweight until i was halfway through my first hike and it was too late to return them. that said, theyre holding up well so far
