Great street shoes

Mantra GV are very light weight, yet substantial, and have a stiff, but not too stiff soles. Vibram soles do not mark. The shoe laces nearly all they way to the toe tips, which allows significant adjustment through the arch and forefoot area. Goretex makes walking in the rain and/or across wet or dewy grass in the a.m. a song. (I walk my dogs in almost all weather, so "water proof" is a key concern for me.) The insoles are adequate, like any other better shoe on the market. However, as with every shoe I have had for years, I set aside the inserts and use Superfeet inserts instead, as they offer better support.
