So far, so good.

I had just come off a 26-day trip, on which I took my Asolo hiking boots and my Asics running shoes. I wound up wearing my hiking boots a lot mainly because my running shoes were not good in wet weather and otherwise because my boots would take up too much space in my luggage. I decided that for such travel I wanted some lightweight, waterproof shoes that would be lighter, perhaps more comfortable, but just as serviceable as my boots. I have had multiple pairs of Asolo boots and have found that they work well for me when I get a proper fit. I selected the red color for a little variety in my shoe collection. So far, I have worn these "approach shoes" just around the house, but I am optimistic. They are a little stiffer than and don't have gel soles like my Asics running shoes--but kind of like apples and oranges, right? The toe box is ample for me. Laces stay tied. Comfortable.

- “Great shoes overall, a few things that I hope can help you with your own decisions: the sole by Vibram is not the soft squishy type, it's a bit hard, so I think it would withstand different terrain and elements and wearing them almost every other day they do require breaking in as I read from some reviewers that they did not really find it necessary, which I do differ in that after 2 weeks they are a little softer and not so rigid, perhaps another couple of weeks and they'll be perfect. I have worn them in light rain and seem to withstand the water. These shoes seem very well made and do stand apart from the average pair of hiking shoes.”
- “Great like hiker.”
