Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by Colinsdad from Longmeadow Massachusetts on Sunday, October 27, 2013These boots are certainly typical Asolo comfort and quality. I do agree with the other reviewers that these boots are very light, and that whatever insulation they do have is very thin at best. However it doesn't take away from the fact that they are very comfortable, supportive, and sizes exactly correct. Personally, I wouldn't consider these hiking boots as much as they are light duty tactical boots. The only thing I wish was different with these boots with that they had a removable insole. Other than that with the discount excellent boots for the money!

Reviewed by no name from sault mi. on Saturday, January 26, 2013seems well made. true fit. measures 10" high, not 8.5 as in specs. feels a bit cool thru nylon upper but not thru sole. first pair of boots from stp which fit according to a brannock device. i'd love to find this boot in a little more heavy duty model.
Reviewed by no nickname from sault mi. on Friday, January 25, 2013true fit, almost slipper like. first boot i've received from the the great stp which fits according to a brannock device. i measure a 10 and this 10 fit. good traction on snow. seems quality made but playfully lightweight and little upper support. felt coolness thru upper portion but not thru sole. i'd love to find it in a slightly more heavy duty version and a few less eyelets.

“Why don't you mentioned from what type of material these boots are made? Leather, suede, or textile? Also, how much and what type of insulation are in these boots?”
Actually they do mention what these boots are made from under the tab that says Specs. I have a pair and they are not heavily insulated. Asolo does not give any info about the insulation either. But then again I believe in layers with the right merino wool socks they keep my feet warm in most cold weather except the extreme cold for which these boots were not designed for.
“The write up indicates these are insulated. But I couldn't see how much insulation there was, nor what material was used for the insulation. Can you help?”
