  • It depends on where you measure. From the bottom of the sole at the heel to the highest point on the ankle is approximately 7.5 inches. The Vibram sole at the point is about 0 .75 inches thick. Measured at the back, from the bottom of the Vibram sole to the top of the ankle, is 6.25 inches, and the sole is 0.5 inches thick. Those are the measurements on my boots. There may be some variation, but I wouldn't expect too much difference. Hope that helps.

  • Darn, I'm out of town and unsure. I would guess from the floor... I'm 5'6" and they're not too high if that's your concern.

I'm recently back from 4 days backpacking (38lbs) in the Western Sierras with my son. The boots were perfect!
Great ankle support, not too heavy, really sticky on day hike days with bouldering and scrambling.. No rubbing, blisters or bruises..

And I run up local hills in them every day.

Really comfortable for a hiking / packing shoe...

  • My Asolo boots are between 7 and 8 inches from the floor to the top of the boot, and 6 inches above the sole to the top of the boot.

  • If you measure from the very back of the boot it is 6" from the floor. If you measure it from the side of the boot it is 6" from the top of the sole.

  • 6 inches of boot above the insole--7+ inches from the floor up.
Very comfortable boot out of the box. I've been thinking about buying another pair.
