I received the boots about 10 days ago. After wearing the boots around the house for a day, I went on a 10 mile hike over varying terrain in snowy, icy conditions. I experienced no blisters, hot spots, or discomfort. The boot performed well in all respects - no leaks, great traction, and comfortable cushioning. The boot is true to my normal size (12). I bought the 12 wide to accommodate thicker socks when needed and due to user reviews that indicated that Asolos run a little narrow. The fit is perfect. The boot is noticeably lighter and flexible than my full grain leather boots (Vasque MX2 Sundowners), which is exactly what I wanted for day hiking and occasional light backpacking. The sole and upper are stiffer and more sturdy than I expected in a suede/fabric boot, but the boot is just right for me (6 foot 2 and 215 pounds). I would describe the stiffness of the boot as somewhere between a light hiker and a medium weight/backpacking boot. As a long time Vasque user, I highly recommend this boot and the Asolo brand.
