Good quality, tight toe box
Reviewed by Tom P from Atlanta, GA on Sunday, December 13, 2015
I wore the boots for the first time on unimproved trails in the North GA mountains. Boots felt good on flat improved surfaces, but the toe box is just too tight and was uncomfortable on downhill slopes. I ordered the W as I thought it would be a wide fit. Warning in that the boot IMO is not wide in the the toe box where the ball of the foot is. The boots are not marked W, but has a tag that says "wide fit". The boot seems to be very solid and good construction though. The traction of the Vibram soles on leaves and rocks was very good. Solid footing - the boots are more heavy duty that I expected, which might be good, but the boots just felt clunky on the trail that had a lot of rocks and change in elevation.
