Generally a product has to be INCREDIBLY pleasing for me to tell others online. This boot is precisely that.

FIT: I rarely buy a wide sized shoe, but tend to buy shoes that have a wider regular fit. For reference, the last 4 pairs of shoes I have purchased and, after a few exchanges, the final size that fit most comfortably: Keen (10.5), Brooks (10), Timberland (9.5) and Dr. Martin (11 US). I bought the Neutron in an 11, regular width per a friend's advice. Returned for a 10.5 wide and that was the ticket.

PERFORMANCE: Incredible. Supportive, great lacing system, good breathability, good traction and amazing durability. Worn daily from October to April, these boots have survived 3 winters in a Maine boatyard, a year of construction and many weekend trips to MDI and Katahdin. My current pair, with the original laces, has another year in them, but I am buying another pair now lest they become unavailable. Worth the full retail price and an absolute steal from STP on a promo price.

NOTE: The waterproofing failed after the second winter, I will blame myself as I kept them probably too close to a forced air heater. Rewaterproofed with Kiwi and they have been great this season, although of course not as breathable.
