“Do these boots have a shank at all?”

  • According to Wikipedia, the shank is a part of the supportive structure between the insole and outsole of a shoe. i cannot tell what the construction of the boot is between these parts, but I can say that the sole is very thick and very sturdy. The part between the insole and outsole of the shoe is very supportive and is not flimsy at all and does not twist in any way. This is a great boot for hiking.
