Asolo Neutron women's hiker

there are certain things I look for in a hiking boot: comfortable over-the-ankle support, lightweight confident waterproofing. Oh, and quality construction of course. These have it all . The materials used in construction are proven quality (Gortex® waterproofing, lightweight Vibram® soles and Cordura® nylon durability). The padded gusseted tongue is adequate as is the padding supporting the ankle. Lacing up is an important feature to note. These have two upper hooks at the ankle, 3 webbing-type lace holders below and two d-rings at the forefoot. All are held midline with webbing pass-thru's along the tongue. Only time will tell the durability of the lacing system. With the quality materials loaded into this Asolo hiker my guess is it'll hold up pretty well. The fit is true: my 8.5 equals Asolo 8.5. I don't do heavy duty long distance hiking but I do traverse some pretty rocky-rooty winding trails 2-3 mies almost daily. No complaints
