Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mmm from Colorado on Wednesday, October 8, 2014Light weight and breathable for desert hiking, true to size, solid and comfortable. I'm happy.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by CT explorer from CT on Monday, August 18, 2014I wear Asolo hiking boots for work and recreation during the cool months. I purchased thes hiking shoes for warm weather. They fit well, are supportive and comfortable. They are fairly simple looking though I don't understand why all the hiking shoes are so "decorated" with patterns and bright colors.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by KJ from Virginia on Tuesday, August 12, 2014Looks good, supports feet well
Reviewed by windmike from VT on Monday, June 23, 2014I've purchased several pairs of Asolo hiking boots, mostly FSN85 and 95, and assumed these might be on the same lasts...plus they didn't show a width. Wrong...I tried two sizes, since the ad says they run large, but even a large one was too narrow. Look good, but don't fit.
Reviewed by Ole dude from Texas on Tuesday, June 17, 2014Opened the box put them on and haven't wanted to take them off. Good for trail hiking, cooler than my boots in 90 degree weather. Give decent support in foot bed so rough ground doesn't cause a problem. Traction is good longer lace design allows for adjustment if needed. Ordered my regular size and they fit fine. The half size down will probably work also but at size 12 that isn't and option. Very good product. At this price a quality hiking shoe at a cheap athletic shoe price. A very happy customer.

“Where can I find the comparable Euro sizing? I would like to know what the size 8 and 8.5 are in Euro?”
If you good Asolo and go on there main site they have a full size chart.
Please refer to the following size chart: http://www.asolo.com/eng/size-chart.php
“Are these shoes waterproof. I live in Northern Michigan and need a pair of shoes that can handle breif treks in the snow.”
These are not waterproof.
No they are not waterproof. If you plan to hike a lot in the snow try a mountaineering boot. They are warm and comfortable also they take a lot longer to run into the ground. It just depends how serious you plan to get with the hiking shoe or boot you purchase.
“I have read the comments that these shoes run "true to size" I am wondering though whether they are sized like an athletic (running) shoe or a dress/casual shoe? I usually wear a US13 in dress/casual shoes but am always a US14 in Asics etc.”
I would say true to size for a running shoe. I wear 14 in many different brands of athletic shoe such as Asics, Nike, Mizuno. These fit the same as well.
